  1. We wanted a Gaelic name to go with our Scottish heritage. We each had unlikeable aquaintances with almost every Gaelic name in existence so we went with Alasdair since neither of us knew one.

  2. I'm a teacher and with that I have heard almost every name imaginable, spelled every which way. Every name reminds me of a student that I had in class. Boys names we were set and made our decision fairly early, but it was really hard to figure out a girls name we both agreed on. We eventually settled on Mara. It was a mix of both of our names put together Matt and Sarah.
